PHL* 211: Reading Aristotle: The Ethics of Happiness3 Credits This is an advanced philosophy course prepared for students proficient in reading and writing. The course focuses on the study of views of Aristotle about mortality by means of a careful reading of his Niomachean Ethics. The goal of the course is to present his ideas clearly and to suggest ways in which the thought of a philosopher from so long ago still bears tremendous relevance for our own age.
