CST* 205: Project Management4 Credits This course will help the student understand the role of project management, and how to manage client expectations, develop a list of key tasks, assign responsibilities, track progress and prepare progress updates. Additionally, the student will be introduced to PMBOK the Project Life Cycle Methodology process groups; initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. Project sponsorship, stakeholders, scope, time, cost, quality and risk management are topics examined during the course. A project management software tool is introduced and utilized within the scope of the class project. Each student, as part of a team, will be responsible for taking an assigned project through its entire life cycle. This course will begin to preparing the student for the Project Management Institute CAPM® Exam and for those with project management experience, the PMP ®Exam.
