CJS* 102: Introduction to Corrections

This course introduces the field of corrections within the Criminal Justice system. Students will examine correctional processes, operational techniques for managing and changing criminal behavior, correctional programs and alternatives to confinement. History of punishment, confinement, and treatment for adult and juvenile offenders will also be examined.
Prerequisites: Eligibility for ENG* 093.
