IDS* 101: The First Year Experience3 Credits (Formerly: SD 111) This course provides students with the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary to succeed in college and emphasizes the role that effective choice plays. Students are encouraged to think, read, problem-solve, and write critically. Topics include both academic and organizational skills and aim to empower students through heightened self-awareness. The course fosters an understanding and appreciation for the diversity of the college community while encouraging students to become responsible and enthusiastic participants in their education. Prerequisites: None Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
