MFG* 205: Principles of CNC with Mastercam3 Credits This course is an introduction to computer numerical control (CNC) programming of 2- and 3-axis machine tools by generating 2D and 3D geometries using Mastercam® software. Topics include an introduction to CNC programming coding, set-up, tooling, operation, and troubleshooting based on industry print standards. Students learn the basic principles and applications of numerically controlled software and hardware and experience the set up and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes. Prerequisites: MAT* 138 and CAD* 110 , or permission of instructor. (No prerequisites for Precision Manufacturing Program) Offered: Spring
