ANT* 118: Health, Healing and Culture.3 Credits (Formerly ANTH 220) This course investigates concepts of health, healing, illness, and pain across global cultures, including the United States and other societies. Using anthropological tools and perspectives, students will examine the interconnected biological, ecological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that shape human well-being and approaches to health care. The course explores applications of health anthropology to intercultural efforts for health and equity at the local and global levels.
