BES* 218: Entrepreneurship3 Credits (Formerly BES* 118) This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. The studentswill gain the knowledge and skills necessary to research and begin a small business. Explores opportunity analysis, startup-expenses, forms of business ownership, site selection, and sources of funding. Students research and compare buying an existing business, starting a new business and franchising. Also review human resources, marketing, management, accounting and legal aspects of business. Prerequisites: Eligibility for ENG* 101 or permission of the instructor Offered: Fall, Spring
