CST* 237: SysAdmin I - Client/Server4 Credits This course introduces students to system administration concepts for Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation operating systems, emphasizing hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of multiple networked systems in a VMware based virtual laboratory environment. Wireshark is used to monitor the interaction between systems. Topics include a review of basic networking concepts, OS deployment, OS virtualization, IP configuration, MMC, registry, RAID and disk management, user accounts, IIS, RRAS, Browser Service, terminal services, system security and optimization, and third-party tools.
