Program Design
This certificate will provide students with a background in advanced manufacturing and CNC programming with the opportunity to learn how to program and perform advanced multiaxis operations with CNC machines. Students who completed the Precision Manufacturing Certificate Program are eligible to complete this certificate.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the certificate students will:
- Learn the fundamentals of multiaxis machining and programming.
- Understand the basics of workholding, fixturization, tollpaths and tool axis control strategies.
- Utilize MasterCAM programming to solve complex multiaxis machining applications.
- Gain relevant experience through machine simulations and hands-on activities.

*Becoming Connecticut State Community College
A merger of Connecticut’s 12 community colleges is underway. As a part of this merger, modifications will be made to academic programs. Students who do not complete their programs by the end of the Spring 2023 term will be matched with the Connecticut State Community College (CT State) program that most closely aligns with the student’s Spring 2023 program and is offered at the current Manchester Community College location. The College is committed to students completing their education with a minimum of disruption. Students in this certificate program must have completed the Precision Manufacturing Program certificate (with a grade of B or better in MFG 239 and MFG 205) or enter as an incumbent worker recommended by current employer and agreement from the MCC Manufacturing Program Director.
