Arts Learning Outcomes

By studying the arts, students will:

Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills by engaging in the creative process that is unique to music, theater and the visual arts.
Communicate and cultivate contextual understanding of the arts’ relationship to society, history and culture.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate one’s understanding and knowledge with clarity and persuasively—orally, visually and/or in writing.

Students must earn a minimum of three credits from the following list in order to meet the general education requirement for associate degree programs.
